Why we exist

AI projects fail at the handoff. We do not leave before the handoff.

Most AI engagements go like this: a consulting partner sells a pilot, a team of juniors builds a slideware demo, and by the time the client is ready to go to production, the partner has moved on to the next logo. Eighty-eight percent of AI agent pilots never reach production. That statistic is not a market condition, it is a delivery-model defect.

What we do differently

PIAS is a forward-deployed ML engineering studio. We send a senior engineer, by name, into your GitHub, Slack, and standup. The engineer you meet in the scoping call is the engineer who writes the PRs. First PR in 7 days, prototype in week 2, production in week 6, and a full handoff, runbook, and eval harness in your repo on week 6 day 5.

We are platform-agnostic. We do not license a proprietary agent framework, we do not upsell an annual platform contract, we do not put your inference on a control plane we own. We write the MSA so the IP is yours, from clause one.

We are evidence-backed. Every throughput claim on this site ties to a named client in the case studies, not to a sector study or a LinkedIn anecdote. The 50-100x number is measured against the work we own, on an agreed-on rubric, with a result we cite with the client's permission.

Who we work with

Two archetypes. Enterprise AI leaders with a board mandate and a senior-MLE hiring gap, where the cost of another failed pilot is a finance meeting they don't want to sit through. AI-native founders who need the next eval jump before a better-funded competitor gets there, and who would rather rent proven judgment for 90 days than commit to a $400K+ permanent hire on a problem that might be a six-month scale-up.

We will not take the engagement if we do not think we can hit the week-2 rubric. We would rather pass than pause-bill through a project we cannot land.

How we are built

A small bench of senior engineers who have each shipped this exact architecture at five to ten similar companies. Paired with a lightweight scoping team that treats the scoping call as the deliverable, not as a sales motion. No account executives, no sales engineers, no partners. The person you talk to in week 0 is the person you talk to in week 5.

If that delivery model reads as obvious to you, we are probably the right shop. If it reads as dramatic, you have worked with the other kind.

Talk to a senior engineer, not a sales team.

The scoping call is free. You leave with a written plan whether you hire us or not.
